Lunagirl Moonbeams December Challenge - Angels

Hi everyone!  It's been awhile since I've posted anything, but December was an incredibly busy month.  Way too much going on!  Anyway, I'm sharing my entry for the Lunagirl Moonbeams December Challenge.  The challenge for December is "Angels."  I actually created an Easter card, because I love this Angel image.  She's beautiful isn't she?  I used a Lunagirl collage sheet called Victorian Easter.  I hope all of you have a fun-filled New Year's Eve and a Happy and healthy creative New Year!  Thanks for coming by!

Cards and Tags

Hi friends!  I completely forgot to post these cards and tags!  Forgive me, but two of the cards I created were from Thanksgiving.  Don't even ask about Christmas, I don't even have my tree up yet and made absolutely nothing for my poor Etsy shop.  :(  I'm hoping once the tree is up I'll be in better spirits.

Lunagirl November Challenge Theme: Thanksgiving/Harvest

Hi!  I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I'm posting my Lunagirl November challenge theme creation.  There are lots of layers on top of a canvas panel.  I painted a wood frame and added gold foil.  The image is from a Lunagirl collage sheet named Spring & Autumn.  Thank you for taking a peek!

Lunagirl October Challenge Theme: Gothic

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday and Happy Halloween!  Yes, it's a day early, but since Halloween is on a Saturday this year (woo hoo!), everyone will be busy!  Who doesn't love handing out candy to the kiddos and eating a home-cooked meal and watching scary movies all day (me!).

Below is another mixed media piece I created for Lunagirl's October challenge.  The theme is Gothic.  I used a Lunagirl collage sheet titled Edwardian Gothic and I found the cute bird with the witch hat in my stash..  Don't you love that creepy photo of those two girls?  They remind me of those creepy twins from "The Shining."

Gecko Galz October Challenge: "Music In Me!"

Hi everyone!  I'm so sorry I haven't been around in awhile to visit your lovely blogs.  I'm completely swamped at work and by the time I get home, I'm so tired.  I did manage to create this mixed media piece for the Gecko Galz October challenge "Music In Me!" I used a Gecko Galz collage sheet called Beautiful Music for the pretty framed image.  Come on over and check out the other gorgeous artwork!

Check out Gecko Galz!

Pocket Letters, ATC's and Tags

Here I go again!  I promised myself that I would post more and here I am two weeks later.  I've been so busy at work, by the time I get home and do whatever needs to be done on the homestead, the last thing I want to look at is a computer!  So here, again, is another Hodge Podge post!

I participated in two Pocket Letters swaps, Halloween and Autumn.  Pocket Letters are so addicting!  You can go here for more info.

I made the card below for my autumn PL swap partner.

Oh Kimberly (ArtJoyStuff), I'm so going to miss your wonderful atc swaps!  Below are the atc's I created for Kimberly's last swap.  The theme was Linen and Lace.

These beautiful atc's are what I received in-return.  From left to right, Maggie Raguse, Wendy Wirln and Kimberly Laws

This is the tag I created a few weeks ago for Tag Tuesday.  The theme was "Pastels."

Below is from last week's theme "People."

Have a wonderful rest of the week everyone!  Any fun festivals, events, or Halloween parties this weekend?  Please share!

Halloween and Tea

Hi everyone!  I have another hodge podge post!

One of my swap buddies, Michele - Nook And Cranny, came up with a wonderful idea of swapping altered book covers.  Halloween was the theme.

The witch is what I created for Michele.  In my stash, I found this dour woman dressed in black.  She's the perfect witch.  I had an old book about witches, so I used the book cover from that book as my base and went from there!

This absolutely gorgeous creation is what Michele created for me!  The tears welled up when I opened the box.  This is such a beautiful keepsake that I will keep for ever!  I love everything about it and she must have read my mind that the Francis Ford Coppola version of Dracula is my favorite vampire movie of all time.  Who could resist the love story between the Count Dracula and Mina.......ahhhhh, so romantic!

The tag below is for last week's Tag Tuesday theme, Earth's Bounty.  Isn't the chipboard girl adorable?

This is the super awesome Autumn/Halloween pocket letter I received from my swap partner Suzanne Robertson.  I'm not sure if Suzanne has a blog, but we both belong to the Facebook group Altered Egos.  This is a super fun swap group, so check it out!

I also participated in Stephanie's (The Enchanted Rose) Tea Cup & Mug Exchange.  Stephanie hosts this exchange several times a year and it's one of my favorites!  If you are interested in exchanging a tea cup or mug, click on the link in this paragraph for more information about this fun event!  Below is the beautiful vintage tea cup I received from Trisha (American Honey Home).  I love the pretty pastel colors and flower inside of the cup.  She also made me these lovely autumn tags and included a wonderful mix of tea, which has already been sampled.  All were delicious!  Thanks again Trisha!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week my friends!

I'm linking this post up to Stephanie's The Enchanted Rose-Roses of Inspiration #40.

Hodge Podge Post! Hi Pam! (Virginia Retro)

Hi everyone!  I definitely have a hodge podge post today!  I love Pam's (Virginia Retro)  hodge podge posts!  It's kind of fun to see all the different things someone has been up to!  Well, here goes!
I'm finally posting two tags I made for Tag Tuesday.  I encourage you to check out Tag Tuesday.  The admin. ladies come up with some really fun prompts.  It's a great way to get those creative juices flowing, especially if you're going through a creative slump and you (BONUS!) can use up some of that old stash that's been sitting around un-opened and collecting nothing but space and dust!
The theme for the tag below was "White Space."  I immediately thought of winter.  I repainted a white tag, applied Tim Holtz Clear Crackle Paint and while the tag was still wet, I sprinkled some Tim Holtz white distress glitter all over the tag.  I also ran some white cardstock and the tag through my Big Shot using the Tim Holtz Thinlits die called Winter Greens and a snowflake embossing folder.   I crackled and glittered the greens and a white paper flower also.   I added a white paper doily and a metal owl from an old broken necklace.

The theme for tag below was called "Something Old, Something New."  I really had to think about this theme, but that's the idea right?  I was in downtown Chicago for a meeting last week and whenever I have to go "downtown", I always think about what Chicago must of looked like in the old days.  I found an old State Street photo online and used a photo I took of State Street from a few years ago.  I painted the tag with Distress Stain, used a whole package of some old Basic Grey rubons (it feels great to get rid of old stuff!), a brick Hambly overlay and misc. ephemera and embellishments.

Below is a card I made for Lunagirl Moonbeams, September challenge "Fairies and Mermaids."  Karen hosts some really great challenges.  Again, like I said above, another great way to get those creative juices flowing!  The fairy image is from a Lunagirl collage sheet called Fairies #1.

I'm sure going to miss Kimberly's (ArtJoyStuff) monthly atc swaps.  Kimberly, who is a wonderfully talented and genrous artist is leaving blogland, at least for awhile I hope, to pursue other adventures.  We're all going to miss you sweet Kimberly!  This atc theme is called "Dress Up."  The atc's below are the ones that I created.

These adorable atc's below are the ones that I received from (left to right) Jess (Two Mad Dahlias), Kimberly (ArtJoyStuff) and Alice (Yellow House Studio).

I made this card for a tea cup exchange hosted by the lovely and sweet Stephanie (The Enchanting Rose).  I love the tea/coffee cup exchange.  It's a favorite of mine and so much fun!  You can read more about the tea/coffee cup exchange by clicking on Stephanie's name above.

Halloween card.  I FINALLY used my Tim Holtz Stamp and Framelits set.  I love the result, but in my opinion, kind of a pain and takes a lot of time to do.  The results are really cool if you're into stamping and don't mind taking the time to run all of the dies through your machine.

The altered Mason Jar is what I created for a Facebook swap.  The Facebook group is called Altered Egos.  Tamie, who is the hostess has some really fun swaps coming up if you're looking for a swap to participate in.  If you're on Facebook, check Altered Egos out!

The mixed media canvas is from a Brave Girls Club kit.  All I'm going to say is that Brave Girls Club is changing how I look at myself and the world around me.  Signing up has been one of the best things I've done in 2015.  Brave Girl Camp is on my bucket list for sure!

So, that about wraps up this post!  Long post and lots of photos, but time is just not on my side sometimes.  I'm hoping I can start posting more then once a week.  What am I thinking, I've been only posting twice a month.    I'm hoping to manage my time better!  Have a wonderfully creative rest of the week my friends!

Tag Tuesday and ICAD

Hi everyone!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  Just a quick post regarding Tag Tuesday and Index Card A Day.  Sorry for the bad pictures.  I took them this morning.
This week's theme for Tag Tuesday is "I Remember When."  I remember fun-filled summer's as a child riding bikes with my siblings and friends.  We went everywhere on our bicycles!  Bicycles brings back wonderful memories!
Last week's Tag Tuesday theme was "Blues and Browns."  I, of course, thought vintage.
I'm still participating in Index Card A Day (ICAD) that was hosted by Daisy Yellow.  In addition to having lots of fun creating tags, I also love creating the index cards.  I'm not stopping until the entire blank pack of index cards is gone!

Good afternoon!  I completed some projects over the weekend and I thought I would share!  As always, thanks to all of you wonderful people that come over to say hi and take the time to leave your wonderful comments!

Below is a card I completed for Lunagirl Moonbeams August challenge.  The August challenge theme was "Animals."
